Making the Turnaround is a weekly podcast that inspires and encourages Christians who may struggling to find victory in Christian living. Living a victorious Christian life is easier said than done. Our journey in life at times can be full of twists, turns, and dead ends. Each of us comes to a crossroad in life where we have a choice of continuing the road we are on or turning around and going on a new path.
In the Bible, turning around is the meaning of the word ‘repentance’. We often associate the word ‘repent’ as telling God that we are sorry for our sins and poor choices, but that is only part of the word’s meaning. But the word has an even bigger meaning. Repentance is a verb, it’s an action, that requires change. It means stopping where we are at and turning around and going in the opposite direction.
Maybe that’s where you are at today. Whatever you story is, no matter what road you have been on, the good…the bad… or the ugly…you can always make a turnaround and that is what this podcast is about. Each episode will inspire, encourage, and strengthen you to continue turning around, away from the past, and into the future with a new life in Jesus Christ. There is hope for change and God is ready to meet you right where you are at!
Most importantly, in these podcasts, you will learn about God’s great love for you and me. Jesus Christ did not come to condemn us, but he came to save us. He came to save each one of us, in His great love, to turn us away from the things that destroy us…and turn us toward a life victorious in Him. Victory is possible with Christ as all things are possible with God! I love what St. paul said in Romans 8:32-39,
"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
